Job Description:
Summary:
The Quality Manager will be expected to establish/administer a Quality Assurance system to determine the quality of products manufactured and/or processed through the Plant. You will also administer and follow the Supplier Quality program for the SST family, and take a leadership role in implementing Demand Flow Technology (DFT) manufacturing and quality concepts.
Interface with various managers and associates on a daily basis. In addition, you will lead and participate in cross-functional teams to meet plant lean manufacturing, customer satisfaction, and quality objectives. You will work with Managers, Directors and Vice Presidents from Product Management, Quality Assurance, Engineering and Field Service.

Responsibilities:
Manage supplier quality improvement process using appropriate quality tools (Six Sigma, DOE, SPC, FMEA, CAPA, etc).
Implement an effective corrective action process with the suppliers.
Develop supplier quality assessment/audit process and supplier selection process. Participate in the assessment of suppliers.
Manage and develop Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) resources.
Implement supplier quality processes that are in agreement with the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard
Qualifications:
Bachelor or Masters Degree (Engineering or Science) Electrical Engineering preferred
8-10+ years of experience in quality leadership role (some time w/in supplier quality)
Experience within Supplier Quality Engineering
Previously implemented statistical methods to business situations (e.g., six sigma implementation as applied to supplier quality)
Understands manufacturing processes and has worked within a Lean manufacturing and DFT (Demand Flow Technology) environment.
Understands quality systems including ISO9001 and has been a leader of implementation.
Training/application of six sigma quality and lean manufacturing methods
Ability to facilitate process problem solving in a team setting.
Strong capabilities in planning, statistical thinking, data systems, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated leadership of change and business/quality improvement
Ability to work and manage in a team environment.
