Job Description:
The mission of the Revenue COC is to provide Global oversight and guidance on the controls and processes to enhance and standardize revenue recognition accounting procedures. The individual will report to the Director of Corporate Reporting and will team lead 3-4 senior accounting staff. Responsibilities include providing corporate guidance on Dell accounting policies, providing guidance on GAAP application to accounting practices, building a strong working relationship with respective segment and/or regions, researching the impact of new accounting pronouncements, and coordinating ad-hoc projects with operational customers. 10-15 years of experience or equivalent training and experience. CPA is preferred, but not required. Current GAAP and SEC filing experience is preferred. The successful candidate should demonstrate the following software skills: advanced Excel (data queries, pivot tables, V-Lookup, etc.) and PowerPoint. Experience with Hyperion and Oracle are a plus.
