The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the integrity of the billing system database and provide primary service support of the billing system and related systems. Major Duties and Responsibilities · Responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall supervisory responsibilities of the billing services group. · Acts as the primary liaison with billing system and other technology service providers. · Implements required parameter changes and maintenance to billing system and related systems including but not limited to code table modifications, service codes, security levels, and passing or address data, monetary and module settings. · Maintains a working knowledge of all system platforms that integrate with the billing system primarily for trouble shooting and support purposes. This may include periodic audits to test for accuracy and reconcile data across the various platforms. · Writes queries in required languages (i.e. SQL) to obtain report information from the primary or secondary databases (i.e. Data Warehouse) to support management decision-making. · Develops tools to facilitate movement of data in support of operational goals. · Leads and supports special projects as assigned including but not limited to system releases/upgrades or conversions, mass data field changes, product launches etc. · Coordinates with Information Systems Manager to insure maintenance of communications hardware and networks directly related to the billing system and subsystems.
