Job Description:
• As a fully qualified engineer in all conventional aspects of the engineering discipline, plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. High concentration in process development/improvement and fixturing/station design is required.
• Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work as a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
• Responsible for product/process design, maintenance or improvement.
• Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design/process requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
• Interfaces with manufacturing, quality, safety, marketing, other engineering groups, and/or supplier to resolve manufacturing, quality, safety, product design, and/or component issues so as to meet company’s objectives.
• Develops and initiates projects as appropriate to improve manufacturing processes/systems, reduce manufacturing costs, and support production of new and existing products.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s of Science degree plus 2 to 5 years injection molding experience, or the equivalent in appropriate education and experience. Medical component experience a plus.
• Ability to use computer programs for design/drafting, word processing, spreadsheet, and for analysis.
