Job Description:
* Responsible for the complex testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities (including power, software, communication devices, lines, modems, and terminals).
* Monitors and controls the performance and status of the network resources.
* Utilities software and hardware tools and identifies and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting network performance.
* Performs technical analysis of software, hardware and transmission facility using diagnostic tools in support of efficient network operations Understands system downtime implications and initiates problem resolution.
* Notifies appropriate Operations and/or Engineering personnel to expedite resolution. Notification of issues to both internal and external customers throughout the duration of the problem.
* Document issues, resolution and root cause analysis. May function in either a single or multi-location environment.
Job Requirements:
5+ years network control experience, 3-6 years experience with SiteScope, UNIX, advanced computer skills
