Consults with international faculty and Staff. • Assist the Director of Human Resources in new policy development and procedures and in communicating those policies and procedures to others. • Conducts labor relations investigations and disciplinary Step One cases for classified service, Graduate Assistants and part-time staff. • Manages various appointment and recruitment activities including pre-employment skills assessment, including trouble shooting and maintenance of testing software. • Supervises the Coordinator for Part-time Staff/aHEO and a CUNY Office Assistant. • Oversees the reorganization, updating and automation of Human Resources records management and retrieval. • Review and monitor all New York State Criminal History (Rap Sheets). Makes recommendation for follow-up when appropriate. • Serves on OHR Data Committee. Assists in HR system development, planning and maintenance. • Resolves and advises the Director of Human Resources on payroll issues and non-immigrant taxation. • Assists the Assistant Vice President and Director in special projects. • Perform other duties as assigned.
