Job Description:
Education/Work Experience 2+ yrs overall experience preferred including: 2+ yrs of media planning experience (one to two years offline agency experience preferred.) Ability to manage multiple tasks to completion. Working knowledge of one or more of the following: direct response/mail, retail selling, marketing, promotions. Knowledge of component parts of strategic media planning (i.e., planning/negotiating media, processing insertion orders, knowledge of post buy reporting/billing, etc.) Desire and ability to provide responsive/responsible client service (i.e., make each client feel they are our priority, provide appropriate recommendation/consultation for each advertising effort, respond intelligently to all client requests.) Knowledge of research resources such as Media Metrix, Plan, MRI, Intelliquest, Simmons, Neilsen/NetRatings, Telmar, AdRelevance, and other research/planning tools. Position involves heavy client contact and requires excellent presentation, writing and communication skills. Demonstrated enthusiasm for interactive media/marketing with strong working knowledge of the Internet. Desire to learn/build knowledge of media/marketing principles, interactive media and direct response strategies and tactics. Strong interpersonal skills including clear communication skills and positive attitude. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy when working with numbers (strong math skills.). Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
