As a Strategic Account Director you will be selling to Fortune 1000 companies utilizing the company's top technology resources providing reliable and secure network solutions for each customer's unique requirements. ABILITY TO DELIVER ON HIGH QUOTAS Responsibilities:The primary objective is to achieve your quota through Fortune 1000 customer acquisition with a Solution Selling process that includes prospecting, identification of critical communication needs, strategic account planning, ROI, and transition and implementation planning. Job Responsibilities: Overall sales responsibility to the Fortune 1000 market in the territory and development of the sales strategy and business plan including revenue and resource projections Targeting, establishing and maintaining key relationships in all appropriate functions and operational units such as procurement, engineering, and operations Maintaining the sales processes including allocation of technical sales resources, forecasting, monthly program reviews and strategic visits by key executives Identification of client service and product requirements, competitive analysis, and market dynamics and directions for inclusion in overall business development planning for future product enhancements or development Job Requirements:* B.A. degree in business or related field* 7 to 10 years of overall telecom sales experience with at least 3 of the 7 years selling specifically optical or Ethernet products; disaster recovery, mission critical content delivery, Colocation * In depth understanding of optical networking, Ethernet, or SONET or metro markets* Successful experience selling with measurable results to Fortune 1000; a strong hunter, closer, and have demonstrated experience and success interfacing at the CXO level * Experience in contract negotiation and current Fortune 1000 contacts Experience: See Job Description.
