Additionally, the Account Manager will analyze the effectiveness of merchant activities, and recommend opportunities to improve sales with existing tools and processes. Job functions include: Weekly contact with targeted merchants via phone and email Maintain records of contacts, projects with merchants, progress, and metrics Periodic communication with all merchants regarding global issues and training including mass emails, contributions to newsletters, and conference call or other training sessions Research to analyze customer needs and form conclusions about what features and services will drive incremental performance Gathering facts and metrics about merchant issues that need to be driven to solutions through bug reporting, feature requests, or process changes; set priorities and develop plans Identifying areas for operational improvement for merchants and merchant groups, and developing plans for process changes and issues resolution Interacting directly with internal and external constituents Working with internal partners to build consensus around solutions and drive the voice of the seller into all activities impacting and relating to customer success Staying current on the latest internal merchant success factors and external e-commerce sales and optimization techniques Create reports and clearly communicate ideas to all stakeholders (internal and external), including the Director level of the organization Qualifications Desire to grow the business by providing the highest quality customer experience is a must Passionate customer advocate within Amazon Track record of successful internal and external relationship management, and driving results Excellent communication skills, follow-through and problem-solving abilities Think both strategically and tactically; independent thinking for creative solutions Strong attention to detail Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects including work prioritization, resource coordination, planning, and task delegation The ideal candidate will have a track record of managing and troubleshooting data integration projects, outstanding communication skills and client service experience Previous experience with XML and SOAP as a data exchange tool is a definite plus 3-5 years account or marketing management experience; e-commerce experience preferred Bachelor's degree is required, an MBA preferred Measured by: Success is establishing and maintaining contacts and relationships with assigned customer list
