Job Description:
Our client, a growing financial service firm, is looking for a dynamic planner with tax experience.
The Job
Play a critical role supporting the Financial Advisor in implementing and coordinating all steps of the Client Relationship, Financial Planning and Sales Processes. This includes assisting the Financial Advisor with establishing client relationships, gathering client information and data, analyzing the data, providing high level technical analyses and participating in the creation of financial plans. Further, it includes assisting the Financial Advisor in the presentation of financial plans, ensuring that plans are completed with quality, and in a timely and efficient manner. The Senior AFA/Planner works as a member of the sales team doing their part to assure that clients expectations for financial service are understood and met or exceeded.
Job Requirements:
You need
Must also be able to manage multiple projects at once
Provide direction to people effectively.
Ability to communicate effectively and work with all levels of staff
Possess excellent analytical and proofreading skill
Good working knowledge of Word and Excel and Junxure
Ability to organize and prioritize work flow and projects
Good problem solving skills
Individual must be a self-starter and meet productivity standard and strict deadlines for plan completion
Individual to possess excellent computer skills
Education/Certifications Requirements:
Requires a 4-years degree in business, finance or economics or equivalent industry related experience.
Experience with financial planning software
Securities (Series 7 & 63 or 66) and Insurance (Life, Health & Variable) licenses required.
Requires 6 or more years of experience in all areas of individual financial planning; 10 or more is desirable
Tax Planning Experience is desirable
Advanced certification is desirable (CFP,CPA, MBA, etc).
