Director, Benefits Accounting: Corporate Finance Group
Location: Rochester, NY
Salary: $120,000-$140,000 full benefits with relocation provided
One of the premier information imaging companies in the world, currently has an outstanding opportunity for a Director, Benefits Accounting to join the Corporate Finance Group. You will have the opportunity to serve as part of a team of professionals delivering quality service to a variety of worldwide entities, subsidiaries, and joint ventures.
This is a new position with the following objectives:
• Coordinate postretirement benefit accounting for the global organization
• Oversee U.S. benefits accounting and analysis
• Provide technical accounting guidance related to current and proposed transactions to ensure conformity with U.S. GAAP and established company policies and procedures
This position will be responsible to expand the scope of the group while streamlining existing processes as well as to look for opportunities to standardize global benefits accounting processes.
This position reports to the Assistant Corporate Controller with consistent interaction with the Corporate Controller and other finance and non-finance leaders.
Job Requirements:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
BA in Accounting or Finance
CPA
Minimum 6 years experience preferably with benefits accounting experience
Big 4 experience highly preferred
Experience with U.S. GAAP technical accounting guidance and research
Ability to work well with all levels of the organization, including senior management
Ability to streamline and standardize processes
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
