Job Description:
Engineering team, responsible for developing the architecture for next-generation, advanced high-speed Internet services and applications. This individual will lead a team responsible for the conceptual development, architecture development, standards development, planning, requirements specification, analysis of test results, detailed design, deployment and subject matter expert-level support. As a technical manager, this person must be well versed in all of the relevant technologies and be able to perform technical work themselves, as well as lead and manage engineers, and interface with business unit personnel. This person will also be a liaison to outside organizations, such as the Internet Engineering Task Force and CableLabs.The focus of this persons team will range from working as the leading he rollout of higher DOCSIS 2.0 speeds and our migration to DOCSIS 3.0, to deployment and oversight of other web-based and network-based applications that are or may be a part of our Internet Services. This individual must have the ability to understand business needs, working closely with product managers, and strike a good balance between business needs and technical implementations.
