Job Description:
This person will be responsible for building and managing key RFID converters and hardware OEM customer relationships to maximize Avery RFID's financial performance and strategic success. •Develop sales strategies for the identified customers •Manage the customer interface (with CRM), be the customer advocate. •Define, manage to, and meet financial sales targets for assigned customers •Capture technological and application requirements from customers for new products. Work with Technical Marketing to ensure optimal compatibility between Avery products and the customers' products/processes. •Develop strategies to find and create advantages over key competitors •Work with Marketing to evaluate potential new customer and market opportunities, providing field input wherever it is helpful This position requires a detailed understanding of the technology, strategies, activities, status and goals of the company. The candidate must have: •A Bachelor of Science degree in marketing/sales, business or related field •At least 5 years of relevant sales experience, ideally with complex, emerging products. •A track record in dealing effectively and at a high level, with customers, corporate partners, and internal engineering/manufacturing/marketing teams. •Experience in developing sales strategies, goals and forecasts, with a record of meeting targets. •A bias toward action, an ability to understand the big picture and to work independently. •Technical competence, having or being able to quickly acquire an understanding of RFID and label printers and applicators. •The ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, internally and externally, with both business and technical contacts at all levels. •PC Literacy and working knowledge of MS Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. •Ability to travel at least 50% of the time Other desirable characteristics include: •A background in RFID, supply chain or related markets. •Demonstrated success in both large companies and technology-based startups. This position will work from a remote location such as a home office.
