Job Description:
Responsibilities: - Write and/or edit external communications of internal issues including but not limited to press releases, annual reports, newsletters, general policyholder communications and white papers that advocate the Company's mission and initiatives. - Translate complex insurance concepts, corporate strategy and financial data into meaningful communications that clearly reflects issues, principles, objectives and mission of organization. - Support the editorial & review process which will include the following: research, interviews, editing, routing documents for review; incorporate comments of peer reviews; prepare drafts; conduct final edit and submission; publication. Reports to: The Marketing Manager. Requirements: - 4-year college degree with major in communications, journalism, or public relations preferred, or equivalent work experience. - 3 years of professional experience, with 2 years of experience demonstrated research, interviewing, writing and editing skills. - Insurance experience is preferred. - Excellent PC computer skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
