Job Description:
Develop and maintain relationships with other areas, both internally and externally, that work with Transmission Engineering. Provide technical direction to design supervisor.Ensure that the design groups initiate CREWS work requests, solicit comments from regions and other departments, coordinate operational requirements with Planning and Protection, provide technical information for line siting requirements, and assure transmission designs comply with the National Electric Safety Code and FirstEnergy standards. This entails the detailed review of conceptual layouts, plan-profiles, wire arrangements, field reports, structure drawings and other drawings. Ensure that the project scope is not changed without documented project sponsor approval.Ensures that technical support and training is provided to internal design personnel and that safety standards are not compromised.
