Job Description:
Development of applications and tool sets to support network design and optimization activities.
Design and interface specification documentation.
Develop test specifications and integration testing.
Carry out hands-on development of high quality code based against the defined low-level designs.
Facilitate, participate and give quality feedback into quality development processes.
Develop and maintain relevant high quality unit, module and integration tests.
Ability to work under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Prepare RF affidavits and documentation to support site development and zoning requirements and present information at zoning hearings as required.
Detailed analysis of design restrictions and solutions (ie: physical limitations, co-locations, EMF limitations).
Design recommendations for overlay networks such as EDGE/GPRS/UMTS.
Design recommendations for integrated/converted networks (ie: blue to orange, nokia to ericsson, etc).
Coordinate with construction, antenna crews to ensure site designs completed correctly and any issues resolved quickly.
Project management support for projects (ie: system retunes, large parameter changes, re-homes, etc).
Detailed analysis of counters to determine network performance fixes.
Extensive analysis of network parameters and implementation of changes for optimization of KPIs.
Create and validate frequency plans for large areas/clusters.
Detailed analysis of BSS reports to determine performance related fixes (ie: path balance, timing advance, hardware issues, etc).
Creation and presentation of RF performance reports to internal and external customers.
Travel to client sites.
Job Requirements:
Masters Degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Communications Engineering or equivalent field plus 2 years experience; or BS or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Communications Engineering or equivalent field plus 5 years progressive experience.
