Job Description:
Responsibilities: - Researching, pulling and logging clippings (daily), organizing media reports for our executives (weekly). - Internet research. - Supporting PR, Marketing and Sponsorship Departments on a variety of initiatives. - Assisting with talent management and scheduling. - Assisting with logistics for tournaments and events (will assist on-site for local events/tournaments). - General office duties (copying, filing, faxing, etc). - May participate in some pitching via phone (GREAT way to learn the basics of pitching). Requirements: - Ideal candidate currently be pursuing a print journalism, communications/PR and/or marketing degree (or something similar). - Excellent writing and proofreading skills. - Thorough knowledge of AP style. - Extremely organized and able to multi-task. - Basic awareness of poker and the poker world. - Availability to regularly work at least 12 hours or more every week (negotiable). - Must be able to receive college credit for internship. - Knowledge of the MS Office suite of programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
