Job Description:

Will be responsible for managing existing and new park projects in close coordination with LA Program Director, and the LA Parks for People Project Manager, and Bay Area Parks for People Community Relations Program Manager. This management of existing capital improvement projects includes: Community engagement outreach; Conceptual design development and construction document preparation; Vendor selection and management (including contracting of landscape architects and construction professionals); Selecting and purchasing play equipment and other amenities for each project; Contract negotiations with city and other local agencies and vendors; Design and planning county coordination with city agencies and community groups; and Oversight of the entire project construction county process. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with partner organizations and other community-based organizations. Assist them with their community support strategies. Assist program staff in identifying new projects and partnership opportunities. Administrative tasks will include adherence to contractual project obligations, including associated reporting requirements and general program support. Experience, Education and Skills Required: Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program.
