Job Description:
 A company providing disease management and support programs to chronically ill patients, physicians, health plans, and employers seeks Senior Accountant with 3+ years’ relevant experience in accounting. The candidate will be responsible for the overall accounting functions of assigned business units and/or departments. This includes oversight of the monthly close process and statement preparation, supervision of a Staff Accountant and analysis on financial statements and components of those statements. Review of most balance sheet accounts - including subsidiary ledgers, supporting documentation and schedules. Prepare monthly entries and reconciliation of significant balance sheet accounts, including accrued expenses. Prepare monthly entries and reconciliation of revenue and significant expenses. Creation and maintenance of major balance sheet support schedules. Creation and maintenance of revenue and significant expense support schedules. Ongoing analytical review of the financial statements and supplemental schedules. Preparation of audit schedules and related supporting documentation. The candidate should have Bachelor’s (or higher degree) degree in accounting, with finance and other related degrees. CPA and/or M.B.A. preferred. Experience with multi-divisional, multi-dimensional accounting packages preferred. Healthcare industry experience helpful.
