Job Description:
 A provider of integrated solutions in digital communications seeks an Oracle DBA with 3-5 years of Oracle Applications DBA experience, with both 8i and 9i environments. The candidate will be responsible for installation and maintenance of multiple Oracle Applications 11i instances in a project and production environment. Previous work with Oracle On-demand. Develop and document database and system administration strategies and tools. Develop and deploy performance tuning methods. Develop and deploy backup and recovery methods. Control instance management and patch application 8i/9i DBA. Installation, administration, tuning (SQL and instance), patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Must have performed multiple installations and upgrades of Oracle Applications 11i. Experience with Oracle On Demand is required. Skills must include competencies in three distinct environments, Oracle RDBMS, Oracle Application Server, and Oracle Applications. Experience in installation, patching, tuning, maintenance, administration, and troubleshooting is needed. Proficiency in timely cloning, patching, and maintenance of multiple instances is needed. Ability to design and deploy backup and recovery methods is required. Skills designing solutions that involve RAID, replication, RAC, Data Guard, and related technology are required. Unix and NT competency is essential. Ability to design system architectures and support recommendations is needed. Must be comfortable with Oracle Portal, Oracle Containers for J2EE, HTTP Server, Security and Single Sign-On, Internet Directory, Internet File Server, Clusters, Web Services, Web Cache Oracle Applications DBA, Oracle Applications technology layer, database structure, and file system. Will also be responsible for AD Admin and other AD utilities. Knowledge of Cloning an Oracle Applications instance, Patching an Oracle Applications instance. Working knowledge of Oracle Applications security model is required. Hardware knowledge and ability to select and size appropriate architectures is required. Linux competency is a must. Must have knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager.
