Job Description:
 A company providing resources for systems ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to electromagnetic seeks a Business Development Manager with 8+ years’ work experience including 4 years in marketing, business development or program management. The candidate will be responsible for business development of the photonics and electro-optic systems division. The business development manager will interact with military and civilian officials, evaluate market opportunities, and recommend both long and short-term market opportunities to management. Provides leadership in attracting and developing human resources. Provides support as necessary for contract negotiations and contract modifications. Participates in and provides guidance in the preparation of proposals, business plans, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract(s). Acts as the primary customer contact for business development activities, may lead review sessions with customers to discuss costs, schedule, and technical performance. Identifies business development issues and provides leadership in developing solutions such as re-allocation of resources or modifying contract specifications. The candidate should have Bachelor's degree or equivalent in technical or related business field. Must have served at the mid to senior management level and have extensive knowledge of and experience with the US military and/or intelligence community. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of business development concepts, and practice as well as comprehensive business development management and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling and coordinating workloads. Knowledge of department of defense systems and acquisition practices desired. Familiarity and experience with lasers, optics and/or Electro-optics sensor systems and technologies is a plus.
