Job Description:

One of the first investment companies seeks a Senior Business Systems Analyst with 6-7 years' experience performing systems support and analysis in the financial services or technology industry. The candidate will assist clients in developing systems strategies to reach goals and enhance efficiency. Evaluates and prioritizes projects and acts as team leader for ad-hoc groups formed to develop and implement solutions to multi-user systems needs. Works with clients to review services and software Technology Services and Solutions (TS&S) offers and helps develop system strategies tailored to business functions. Learns clients' needs and assists in setting priorities and identifying appropriate liaisons and resources within TS&S. Promotes TS&S's service orientation through internal and external communication. Oversees process for reviewing and evaluating all end-user requests for systems projects such as applications to be developed or purchased. Acts as project manager for ad-hoc interdepartmental groups formed to perform analysis, and develop and implement solutions to major system needs affecting multiple departments. Works with clients, TS&S and other employees to establish a mutually acceptable process for keeping abreast of current technology projects, issues and problems, how resources are deployed, and target dates for completion. Establishes and ensures use of a process for prioritization of service requests, pursuant to corporate goals. Evaluates and measures specific results, such as cost savings and improved efficiency. Performs system and cost/benefit research and analysis to plan projects and assist in making buy or build decisions. Works with current and prospective vendors to investigate and ensure accurate and complete use of third party software products. Selects and works with outside consultants when appropriate. Provides input to the development of an technology systems strategy and evaluates strategies in light of business priorities. Assumes additional responsibilities as requested. The candidate should have Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a business or computer related field.
