Job Description:
Serves as the store manager who has primary day-to-day contact with client procurement personnel, industrial customers, residential customers and walk-in customers. The position is a unique blend of retail/wholesale store management, customer service, inside sales and local distribution/operations management functions. Key job elements include: site management, supervision, asset management, inside sales/sales support, regulatory compliance, and some financial management. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Completes special projects as requested by Market Area Manager. Setting up the Valley systems and getting all employees trained on Valley policies and procedures will be an initial objective for the individual getting this position. Required Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain positive attitude and good organizational skills. Ability to use personal computer (Microsoft Word & Excel) to input data and process information. Ability to supervise personnel. Required Experience Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment. 4-year degree in business management or liberal arts preferred or commensurate experience. Prior supervisory/management experience preferred. Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Office); selling and customer service skills.
