Expanding public company looking to add a highly visible position in it’s Customer Engineering area. We are looking for a Director of Field Applications Engineer to act as the technical “Go to” person in supporting Global Accounts and OEM in designing DRAM Flash products. This position has 7 direct reports spread throughout the Midwest. This position reports directly to an Executive VP of Marketing.

Job Requirements:
Common Essential Duties & Resp.
- Lead FAE’s in resolving pre and post sale engineering/technical problems in a timely manner
- Understand the memory solutions which is offering and provide technical support to customers according to the applications and customer needs
- Provide customer service with regular memory updates and customer follow-ups for product roadmaps
- Pre or post-sales activities linked with technical issues: Product roadmap update, Design in/win status update and Sample requests
- Write and present corrective action reports to worldwide customer base as requested by management
- Lead in the development of troubleshooting technical issues and provide feedback to factory and R&D engineers. Perform and communicate failure analysis to customers, internal factory and R&D engineers both domestic and international
- Build strategic technical relationships with customers at Executive/Sr. Management levels

Background/Experience
- BS degree required with a degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Experience in memory such as DRAM, SRAM, and Flash (NAND and/or NOR)
