Job Description: Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will be performing system analysis, developing and integrating components for a hybrid power system. Responsibilities will include defining system requirements/specifications, performing analysis, developing algorithms, and designing, integrating, and testing these components as part of a cross-BU engineering team. Candidates with strong technical and leadership skills will be considered for sub-team leadership roles. Candidate must be able to travel to other locations when necessary for reviews and integration activities.
Job Requirements: Skills Functional / Technical:
Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field and minimum of 3 years experience. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering may be considered if there is relevant experience in hybrid systems or related technology..
Experience working within a structured system engineering process performing analysis, defining requirements, system-level design, system integration, developing test procedures, and conducting tests required. Experience working with or developing real-time embedded control systems, power electronics, energy storage management systems, or power generation systems required. Excellent technical documentation and oral presentation skills required. Experience using Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) tools required. Capability and aptitude for hands on testing, troubleshooting, and problem solving required. Prior experience with hybrid systems and components including engine control, inverter control, electrical machine control, energy storage/management desired. Knowledge of the PPT workflow and VPI processes desired.
