The incumbent serves as an agent of the United States Property and Fiscal Officer on accounting, financial and managerial issues that require examination by a financial professional. Position is located in the United States Property and Fiscal Office, Internal Review Division. Incumbent serves as Director of Internal Review (IR) with responsibility for all quick response reviews, consulting and advisory services, risk management, liaison with external audit agencies, audit compliance and follow-up, and a variety of staff and systems accounting duties to analyze records and to enhance the financial reports and operational data used by local management. Exercises technical and administrative supervision over lower-graded Internal Review Auditors. Incumbent works under the general supervision of the United States Property and Fiscal Officer who outlines broad policy and general objectives regarding the accounting and internal review programs. Guidance is available on particularly complex policy and administrative matters. Work is reviewed for quality of performance, professional judgment and compliance with policy and objectives. DUTY LOCATION: Alabama Army National Guard, United States Property and Fiscal Office, Internal Review Division, Montgomery, Alabama. TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: THIS IS A CAREER/CAREER-CONDITIONAL APPOINTMENT (This is a full-time, non-dual status (competitive) permanent position and does not require National Guard Membership). KEY REQUIREMENTS: Must be U.S. Citizen Under 5 USC 2108 & 5 CFR 211, Veteran's Preference criteria does not apply: Reference Title 32 USC 709 & National Guard Technician Act for competitive and excepted employees.
