Job Description:

This function performs both statistical and financial analysis. Analytical work is approximately 15-20% of the time. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in the month-end closing process. This includes performing analysis of actual versus budget, preparing journal entries and reclassifying errors, explaining variances, and interfacing with other departments to give instruction on proper classification of expenses. Continually assess current policies and procedures and make necessary changes in procedures to improve the productivity and accuracy of financial reporting. Act as a liaison for the assigned function to provide accounting guidance to the organization. Prepare or oversee the preparation of various balance sheet schedules and reconciliations for monthly, quarterly and year-end audit purposes. Answer all appropriate questions from external auditors regarding these schedules and ensure their accuracy.
