Job Description:
The Controller will develop and maintain a system of internal controls to ensure the integrity of all financial reporting and systems, direct and review the timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements, as well as interpret and explain financial and operating data to make accurate recommendations for reducing costs, improving profit and minimizing inventory losses. Will also prepare Capital Equipment Requests and subsequent tracking of spending, coordinate the annual budget process and assist with presentation, ensure staff development and training, and manage semi-annual physical inventories and related reconciliations.Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field with a minimum of 7 years of experience in various finance and accounting roles in an industrial/manufacturing environment. Requires hands-on knowledge of computer and financial planning systems with a detailed understanding of plant operations. Preference will be given to candidates who have previously been a controller in a manufacturing operation and/or have a CPA.
