Job Description: POSITION DESCRIPTION The Strategic & Environmental Analyst is responsible for monitoring and analyzing state and federal regulatory and legislative activities impacting the Ameren Companies. This includes monitoring and tracking of activities associated with climate change legislation, RTO activities, and other activities affecting the strategic activities of Ameren. In addition this position will coordinate activities between Ameren corporate and each of the Ameren Operating Companies to ensure understanding of the impact of potential regulatory, and legislative actions. Key responsibilities: - Monitor and evaluate proposed regulatory and legislative actions impacting Ameren and the Ameren Companies. - Develop and communicate cost effective compliance strategies associated with new regulations and requirements to operating groups. Provide interpretation and determine impact of interpretations for the operating groups. - Determine impacts of pending legislation and regulations on the corporation and communicate these impacts to affected groups and assist in the development of cost effective measures to comply with the regulations. - Track, review and influence developing federal, state and local regulations. Actively participate in regulatory groups and maintain professional relationships with regulators and industry representative. - Reports CO2 emissions and reductions under Federal voluntary reporting program. - Support development of Ameren Sustainability activities.
Job Requirements: POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline from an accredited university is required. Degree in environmental related field from an accredited university preferred. MBA and/or Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification preferred. Experience Five or more years of relevant experience (e.g. business analysis, project management, process improvement, etc.) is required. Other Demonstrated project management skills is required. Excellent business process analysis skills required, including working knowledge of methodologies, tools and techniques is preferred. Experience developing and presenting business cases is required. Working knowledge of the MS Office Suite of applications is required. Group facilitation skills is required. Knowledge of General & Administrative (G&A) business processes and activities is preferred.
