The Office of Inspector General conducts audits, evaluations, and investigations of Departmental activities including such areas as: use of government chargecards, use of funds provided to the insular areas, and investigations involving embezzlement, bribery, and fraud. To accomplish our goals, we employ a diverse staff with varying skills, including positions such as criminal investigators, auditors, evaluators, program analysts, attorneys, writereditors, and information technology specialists. We look for employees with a myriad of educational backgrounds, such as business, accounting, criminal justice, communications, and science majors, to bring a variety of perspectives to our organization.
