Job Description:
Must have experience monitoring internal controls. Must have experience interacting with upper management and/or boards of directors. Must have a high level of personal and professional ethics; solid analytical and problemsolving skills; strong written and oral communication skills; and strong computer skills including financial systems and databases and accounting/auditing software. Must have a solid understanding of generally accepted governmental auditing standards (GAGAS). Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following: · Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Governmental Financial Manager (CGFM) · Professional designation such as certified internal auditor (CIA), certified information systems auditor (CISA), certified fraud examiner (CFE), or certified management accountant (CMA) · 10 or more years of experience in internal auditing · Experience in state governmental accounting and/or auditing Salary/Benefits: Hiring salary is commensurate with current employment, salary history, relevant education/training, previous work experience, and available funding.
