Job Description:
This individual will perform advanced level and/or managerial professional audit services work. Work involves managing or performing audits, due diligence, special projects, and fraud investigations, providing consulting services to organizational management and staff; and providing training, coaching and supervision to Audit Services Seniors and staff. The individual performs independently under general direction with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgment.Responsibilities: Manages the performance of audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures. Ensures Audit Services staff is conducting interviews, reviewing documents, developing and administering surveys, composing summary memos, and preparing working papers. Assists seniors and staff in planning for audits and other engagements. Reviews audit report prepared by Incharge to ensure it is at a professional level, substantive and completed within 2 weeks of fieldwork. Prepare evaluation for Incharge and assure Incharge has completed evaluations for staff within one month of fieldwork. Assists Director, Audit Services in selecting units to be audited quarterly based on financial statement analysis, discussions with others, size of operations, etc. Sets expectations/goals for self and Incharge. Assists Director and Manager, Audit Services in managing Audit Services special projects. Maintains mentoring relationship with assigned staff. Perform primary review of Incharge work papers and secondary review of staff work papers. Provides onthejob training to seniors and staff. Performs related work as assigned by the Vice President, Director and/or Manager, Audit Services. Communicates major audit issues to audit management and Group Controllers immediately. Assures customer survey sent to business unit with audit report.Education and Experience: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent business experience. Certification such as a CIA, CPA, or CMA is desired. Six years of fulltime experience in auditing and/or accounting, including three years supervisory or project management experience. Big Four experience would be outstanding, external auditing within the manufacturing industry is ideal Requirements:Must also have the following demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities
