Ensures strategic audit plans appropriately address exposures and issues;Provides consultation to audit clients and other audit teams;Provides guidance, direction and assistance to develop other audit staff;Leads business analysis and improvement efforts;Reports status of issues to senior managers.The Audit Supervisor evaluates, and increases management's awareness of risk management, the adequacy of the Corporation's manual and automated systems of internal control. These systems should provide reasonable assurance regarding the achievement of objectives in three categories: reliability of financial reporting, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, risk management and effectiveness and efficiency of operations.Works with manager to set direction and empower staff to ensure sections plan, goals and objectives are met.May perform certain responsibilities and/or acquire skills of a manger as part of career development. Serves as backup for an Audit Manager.The Audit Supervisor shares onthejob training responsibilities and presents formal training sessions.
