Job Description:

The process engineering role will require an entrepreneurial attitude and a hands on approach to problem solving bringing flavanols from the farm to the consumer. Innovation is critical to this role. It will be necessary to critically review and optimize existing processes, review alternative operations and technologies to improve flavanol sourcing and develop processes to deliver new products. This role will also develop new process IP to continue Mars Inc leadership in the field of phytonutrients. Responsibilities The Process Engineer shall be responsible for, but not limited to the following: - Review and optimize the current process to deliver a finished product (flavanols) within agreed quality specifications while ensure the operational costs are minimized. - Understand the costs of manufacture for different process alternatives and determine the most cost efficient method. - Evaluate alternative extraction technologies and present options to management on advantages/disadvantages of each. - Be capable of costing, designing and constructing a facility to extract flavanols if required.
