Job Requirements:
Ophthalmic Technician
Thriving Optometric Practice seeking a Full-Time Ophthalmic Technician/Assistant. Experience utilizing OCT, Visual Field, Corneal Topographer preferred. Ability to perform Refractions. Computer savvy a must. Office utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records). Duties include preparing examination/treatment rooms, reviewing the appointment schedule, performing vision screening examinations, refractions, administering eye medications, cleaning and maintaining ophthalmic instruments and assisting physician during minor surgical and laser procedures. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, completion of Ophthalmic Technician training and certification program, and 2-4 years of related experience preferred but not required. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within an Optometric practice. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Willing to train the right person.
