Job Description:
 A company providing resources for high-technology systems ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to electromagnetic seeks a Senior Business Development Manager with 6+ years’ experience. The candidate will be responsible for directing and coordinating business development activities for products and services to intelligence community customers. Directs the development of short and long-term objectives and recommends goals to management. Develops and implements annual and long term business development objectives. Provides leadership and guidance in implementing new/revised objectives and maintains liaisons with other department managers in Photonics. Represents the division/group/company with key business contacts with intelligence community customers and potential customers and evaluates and recommends new initiatives and business opportunities. Participates in and provides guidance in the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract(s). Acts as the primary customer contact for business development activities, may lead review sessions with customers to discuss costs, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes business development short and long range objectives, develop master plan(s) and milestones for tracking and monitoring adherence to master plan and schedules. Provides leadership and direction in the development of new and expansion of existing business opportunities and may participate with management in pursuing business partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures that enhance the capabilities of the product(s) or unit. Requires a Bachelors degree in business or a related technical field, and extensive experience germane to the position. Must have served at the senior management level and have extensive knowledge of and experience with the intelligence community. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education. Demonstrates a detailed and extensive technical know-how in the application of business development concepts, and practice as well as comprehensive business development management and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones. Active DoD top secret level security clearance. Knowledge of department of defense systems and acquisition practices a plus. Familiarity and experience with lasers and/sensor systems technologies preferred.
