 A company that offers near-term solutions to help members maintain competitive positioning within today's marketplace and participation in the development of longer-term solutions seeks a Senior Project Manager with 10+ years’ experience relating to power plant materials, repairs, and life assessment technology. The candidate will provide support in the area of materials research, repair of fossil power plant components, and life assessment of critical fossil plant components both to other staff and customers. Plan and manage technical R&D related to fossil power plant materials, repair of power plant components, and life assessment of critical components. Provide a technical service to customers, and develop funding and tailored collaboration opportunities with them. This will include solving materials related issues, repair of components with advances technology and assistance in the development and application of remaining life products. Provide assistance to the sales staff in member services relating to the materials research, component repair, and remaining life assessment of boiler, turbine and related power plant components. Manage and track the financial aspects of projects and contracts. Expand use of current Charlotte metallurgy facilities to assist in accomplishing the above functions. The candidate should have Bachelor’s degree in materials or metallurgical engineering; advanced degrees are desirable.
