SUMMARY STATEMENT/POSITION OVERVIEWResponsible for all agency management activities in an assigned territory including necessary planning, implementation and follow-through activities, and leadership of team assigned. Monitor and ensure integrity of team's risk selection and pricing decisions and activities, to achieve profit and general business objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIESï šÂ§ Lead, coach and coordinate team's activities to achieve business objectives (premium by line, specific underwriting and pricing strategies, quality of business, book management, producer development, etc.) Ensure effective selection, pricing and documentation regarding risk selection and pricing, on an individual accounts and aggregate basis. Coach and support team in obtaining necessary resources and successfully resolving problems.ï šÂ§ Personally responsible for a designated agency territory, meeting performance expectations consistent with a Senior Marketing Underwriter position.ï šÂ§ Effectively administer human resource policies and programs, including effective performance management, salary administration, discipline, hiring, communication, skill development, and ensuring a workplace free of discrimination and harassment.ï šÂ§ Actively participate in agency evaluation process including assignment of appropriate grading, development of specific business plans with appropriate tactical elements, and monitoring of progress toward objectives.ï šÂ§ Ensure effective interaction with the agency plant through frequent, well planned interactions and use of other appropriate marketing techniques designed to maximize the development of profitable books of business in each assigned territory. Manage team's renewal activities for effective interaction with departments in the region and/or branch directed toward renewal of profitable accounts.
