Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers. Understands and performs in accordance with the Winning play for Tellers. Processes a variety of transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to bank policies and procedures. Knows and follows the branch security procedures and understands the function and operation of the security devices. Balances transactions and cash at the end of the day and participates in the branch settlement. Strives to make all customers feel welcome and at ease by taking a personal interest in each and every one. Handles customer requests competently and in a timely manner while maintaining customer confidentiality. Shows appreciation for customers' business by thanking them and using appropriate salutations. Maintains updated knowledge of the bank's products and services. Recognizes referral opportunities and recommends appropriate product or service. Directs customers to the Customer Service Representative or Branch Manager for additional and/or more detailed information. Provide back up to the Teller Supervisor during periods of absence.
