Directs, supervises and provides technical leadership for mechanical engineering associated with design, procurement and construction of power plants, industrial plants, and commercial and special projects. Makes decisions and recommendations that are authoritative and have a significant impact and demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing and guiding the extensive engineering projects and related activities of the mechanical engineering department.Decision making, interpersonal and motivational skills needed to effectively work with customers, employees, peers and directors to accomplish goals, objectives and priorities. Understanding of hiring and disciplinary procedures; ability to establish job specific and cross-functional training programs; understanding of performance evaluations and compensation procedures. Skills Bachelor of Science in specified engineering discipline from an accredited engineering degree program. Eight (8) years of experience in operation, maintenance or design related mechanical engineering field. Licensed Professional Engineer by exam or EIT prepared to sit.
