The first application of our PNC product enhances the ability of carriers to deploy carrier grade Ethernet in NGN. We are taking advantage of the separation of the control and data plane to create a new Ethernet control plane that supports the complete service lifecycle. Our design methodology is based on agile/extreme programming to enable us to target new markets without a massive new re-planning cycle. The product architecture is extremely modular with independent plug-ins that allows customization and/or retargeting. As the Software Development Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of talented software designers. You will work closely with the VP of Engineering, product managers, the SQA team and cross functional team to define short tem and tactical work activities and to balance the overall development schedule with long term and strategic features. As a Software Development Manager you will: Act as functional management for 50% of a growing S/W development team. Act as technical project lead. Recruit and build out your team. Innovate and evolve process development thereby continually driving increased quality in everything we do Continue development and mentoring of high performance team Develop long range goals and plans with other technical leaders in Soapstone Networks Skills needed to work in this environment:
