Responsibility includes planning and organizing several cultivation events per year for small groups of high-level donors. Works effectively with internal and external partners to achieve development goals and objectives. Plans and directs the work of the Resource Development department staff and is responsible for establishing overall objectives and goals for the direction of the department. Provides interpretations and makes recommendations concerning all aspects of assigned functions, indicating alternatives and solutions. Works in conjunction with the Annual Fund Director and staff to sets goals, monitor work and evaluate results to ensure that departmental and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of Bethel New Life, Inc. Desire a natural leader who can motivate and inspire volunteers as well as mentor and direct staff. Works with a dedicated staff, and Board of Directors and reports to the President/CEO. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) years of major gift fundraising management experience in highly productive development programs with significant experience at the management level. Must be able to work with a complex nonprofit organization involving a significant number of people with diverse and varied interests and backgrounds. Must have extensive experience working with volunteers.
