Manatee and Fort Myers.Position Description:Plan and execute construction work and direct outside contractors at FPL fossil power stations. Specific activities will be associated with construction and maintenance of structures, facilities and systems at the plants. Responsible for project execution to achieve project specific success criteria (including schedule, budget and operational outcomes) during installation and startup phases. The Construction Manager will report to the Technical Services Project Manager at FPLÂ Ã šÂ¬Ã žÂ s Juno Beach office. Position Requirements:Formal engineering or technical degree is not mandatory, although direct involvement and knowledge of materials, methods and tools in the construction or repair of systems and equipment in a central station power plant environment are essential. Unyielding commitment to a culture of safety. Ability to manage multiple contractors through disciplined organization and efficient erection methods. Knowledge of methods involved in planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques and coordination of people and resources is a must.
