Job Description:
Consultant-Project Manager – Commercial Business
Must understand SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) and have a solid background in software development projects (not a programmer)
General
Individuals with consulting and project management experience in retail, real estate, banking, insurance or marketing, or related industries are needed to join our growing Commercial/Business Team. The company’s Professional Services group supports our users with the implementation of solutions throughout the entire lifecycle—from requirements to rollout. Our projects range from focused technology transfer to large enterprise implementations of mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities
• Help clients translate and implement real-world needs into practical, state-of-the-art IT technology-driven solutions
• Lead project teams during requirements, analysis, design, build, and rollout
• Manage project performance
• Manage subcontractors
• Manage client relationship and expectations
• Work with the sales and marketing teams to develop new business
Job Requirements:
Requirements
• BA/BS, MS/MBA, or Ph.D. in relevant field, depending upon position level
• Position level is commensurate with experience
• Direct business experience with one or more of the following key business functions: customer analysis, market analysis, site selection, territory management, facility/real estate/property management, supply chain management, business continuity, and other applications critical to commercial business operations
• Strong IT background ideally with working knowledge of one or more of the following technologies: services oriented architecture (SOA), and desktop, client/server and Internet applications and architectures
• Ability to develop project plans, solution designs, work plans, budgets, and schedules
• Excellent interpersonal, writing, presentation, and leadership skills
Recommended Qualifications
• Five plus years of significant proven industry experience
• Experience implementing ERP, CRM, SCM, EAM, BI or other standard business systems
• Experience with geodemographic and business related data
