Job Description The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) develops and maintains a long-term partnership with one or more key business line for functional executives to apply technology solutions to their business needs. The BRM develops an in-depth understanding of the client's business, and services as an effective point of contact and senior technology resource for the business line or functional head. Using analytical ability to identify solutions, and high level leadership to develop technology plans, the BRM will identify, pursue and influence opportunities to use technology to help the client reduce costs, improve service, or gain competitive advantage/product differentiation. Skills Required Planning and Prioritization 10% Coordinates with internal IT Strategic Planning and Architecture team Works with Program Management Office to help determine which projects should be initiated, and when (priority) Teams with other BRMs to identify common technology needs across LOBs Project Initiation and Approval 25% Identifies, pursues and influences opportunities to use technology at the appropriate point on the price/performance and product life cycle curves to help the client reduce costs, improve service, or gain competitive advantage/product differentiation Assists in driving new project efforts through concept, business case and approval phases. Insures handoff to a project manager (optimizing FET resources and improving throughput on development projects).
