Job Description:
As Engineering Program Manager (EPM) within the SoC Engineering organization, you will be responsible for managing the devlopment process for Silicon on Chip processors. Responsibilities include: - Track Project Schedule for all phases of Silicon-on-chip design: Design, Prototyping, Silicon Bringup, System Bringup and Production Ramp.- Manage issue and bug tracking. - Close technical requirements with Apple Product teams.- Interface with Product teams to coodinate silicon validation.- Work with Silicon foundry and design team to resolve blocking issues.- Coordinate weekly meetings with IP Providers to resolve technical issues- Pull together regular project status presentations for Cross-Functional Executive reviews.This is an individual contributor role, but we are looking for great leadership skills since this position is responsible for ensuring the next SoC component meets the technical requiremnets for future Apple products. The EPM will be responsible for cross-functional communication and SoC representation for the groups involved in Apple product development: HW Product Teams, CPU SW, OS Team, Product Design, Graphics, Reliability, Marketing, and Operations. Required Experience: 7 years of project management experience in VLSI, Computer or Consumer Electronics space. Have managed the launch of complex products (delivered whole systems, not just components). Great leadership skills and ability to inspire team members. Strong desire to own/drive project development. Detailed knowledge of product development processes. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes. Preferred Experience: BS or MS in Engineering is preferred. An engineer whos moved into a project management position is ideal. Multi-national development experiences. Knowledge of Microprocessor VLSI Design processes. Experience working with SIlicon Foundry Vendors and IP Providers Excellent written and oral communication skills Experience working with technical cross-functional teams This job is located in: Santa Clara Valley
