Job Description:
The Crowne Plaza Columbus North is a 300 room hotel with close to 20,000 square feet of banquet space. We have a full-service restaurant, lounge, gift shop, business center along with an indoor & outdoor pool. We are looking for a Chief Engineer who will be responsible for our engineering department, security, recycling program, maintenance of vehicles and possibly housekeeping. Experience: This position requires 3-5 years of hotel experience as a Chief Engineer. We also require someone with renovation experience and hands on experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofs, kitchen equipment, boilers, pool and hot tub. We prefer someone who is HVAC certified and pool and spa certified. A plus would be someone with hotel housekeeping and security experience. Must be computer literate.As the department head we need someone with experience in directing and training a staff. MOD shifts will be required along with working weekends and holidays as needed. This position may require coming in during the evening or on third shift for building emergencies. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. We are looking for a leader who is great with the guests and associates. Time management skills a must.
