Job Description:
Leading Fiber Optic telecommunications provider seeks (1) Senior and (1) Junior Network Engineer / Installation Technician responsible for the installation, operation, support, and maintenance of the network equipment (data and/or voice), and/or security infrastructure including analysis and support for one or more of the following: routers, switches, hubs, sniffer/packet decoders, firewalls, WiFi access points. Linux/UNIX knowledge a plus.
The qualified candidate will work with high end Cisco equipment such as 7600 routers on a regular basis. This individual will work closely with others within the Network Services team and will provide technical support to various departments. This position may interface with customers and vendors from time to time. Experience with Cisco equipment is a MUST. Cisco Certifications (the more the better) are a plus.

Educational & Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
In-depth knowledge of Cisco hardware (routers, switches, content switches, WLSEŚ) and IOS minimum six years experience
Comprehensive knowledge of network and security principals - LAN/WAN and Internet technologies
In-depth knowledge of IP addressing (subnetting, super netting, VLSM, etc.)
Proficient with Windows and Unix/Linux OS
Knowledge of security technologies considered a plus
Voip and Multicast routing experience
Network Design
Interface experience with Firewalls and UNIX
