Online Marketing and Business Development Manager, On-Demand Services Description The Amazon On-Demand Services team (with self-publishing affiliates CreateSpace and BookSurge) seeks an exceptionally motivated, capable, and driven Online Business Development/Channel Manager to help us efficiently acquire independent authors, filmmakers, and musicians and, once acquired, to provide them with new distribution opportunities for their content in the marketplace. As Online Business Development/Channel Manager, you will work with multiple internal Amazon teams as well as third parties to help drive awareness and grow our member base. Key to this role will be the development and management of initiatives that drive member acquisition and are both creative and cost-efficient. These initiatives will include the development of an affiliate referral network, member referral programs, online/offline lead generation partnerships, SEO and paid search programs, and special promotions. You will also negotiate and manage third party partnerships for distribution of content to give our members access to a wider market. Although the ideal candidate will have experience managing an online business development team and operating at a strategic level, he/she will have no problems rolling up the sleeves to execute project components. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex projects for a successful and on-time launch, be highly analytical, have strong written and verbal communication skills, be experienced in negotiations, be detail-oriented and hands-on, and be comfortable with fast-moving environments. Key Responsibilities: Meet or exceed new member acquisition targets Seek out, negotiate and manage co-marketing partnerships with online and offline companies Work cross-functionally with Amazon, CreateSpace and BookSurge teams to launch promotions and features on time that will increase membership and retention Track and report results of initiatives, and identify and scope new initiatives in response to sales results Demonstrate broad knowledge of CreateSpace and BookSurge products and services in addition to Amazon features Exceed customer expectations by going above and beyond Qualifications 5-8 years of experience in online business development and channel management Excellent presentation and written communication skills Exceptional analytical skills and business judgment High level of motivation, independence, teamwork, and achievement required MBA preferred Required Skills: -- See Job Description -- Desired Skills: Non-Tech Skills: Start Date: ASAP
