Job Description:
Professional, non-profit musical theatre company STAGES ST. LOUIS is seeking an experienced development professional to oversee the major giving activities of the organization including maintaining current and fostering new funding relationships, coordinating a $31 million capital campaign, and overseeing Board development. The Director of Major Gifts will report to the Executive Producer and will manage the Development Assistant. Responsibilities of the Director of Planned Giving include, but are not limited to: - Preparing grant proposals for foundations, corporations, arts organizations and government agencies - Organizing all other aspects of the grant-seeking process including research, preparation of reports and acknowledgement correspondence - Establishing and implementing Board development plan in conjunction with Executive Producer NOTES: US Residents Only. Salary commensurate with experience. Requirements - Minimum of three years of major gifts fundraising experience - Proven record of success in soliciting gifts of $10,000 and above - Experience or knowledge of capital campaigns and their operations - Strong writing skills - Candidate must be creative, thorough, detail-oriented, and have strong planning and record-keeping skills
